NIE Application (Foreigners’ Identification Number) at the Consulate

The NIE is a personal, unique, and exclusive number assigned to all foreigners (both EU citizens and non-EU nationals) for identification purposes. The purpose of the NIE is to identify foreign citizens who, due to their economic, professional, or social interests, are involved with Spain. It is required for foreigners who wish to carry out procedures in Spain, such as obtaining a residence permit, purchasing property, vehicles, boats, opening a bank account, among others, as well as for any act with tax implications.

We prepare the NIE application forms and fee payments so the client can go directly to the consulate.

Specifications in case the client does not personally attend the consulate (processing by a representative: power of attorney and legalization of identity document required):

*The processing of the power of attorney and its cost (and/or apostille) are not included in the service, and must be paid directly to the notary or consulate. A model/draft of the power of attorney content will be provided for preparation.

*The legalization of the copy of the ID card or passport is not included.
